I love creating matching stationary to go alongside an invitation. I mean, really, if I’ve taken the time to design a custom invitation, why would I NOT make matching stationary?! All the time that goes into creating a custom design demands additional use… at least that’s what I think!

Behold! Stationary that matches the 9″ x 12″ tea party invitation!

I think one of my favorite parts about making stationary is assembling the cards. There’s just something about matching the card stock and ribbon to create such a cute little package… I love it.

It’s such so sweet and dainty. Something I would totally love receiving.

I was asked to make an invitation for a 9×12 bridal shower tea. 9×12? Yeah, I was a little confused too.

Turns out, Kathy (the bride) will be moving to London with her soon-to-be husband and won’t be able to tote a bunch of shower gifts out of the country. Makes sense. That’s where the 9×12 theme comes in…guests were told to bring a gift that could fit into a 9×12 envelope (included in the invitation package), which would be able to be used between the hours of 9pm and 12midnight.

Love it,…oh so cute! And challenging!  Trying to figure out what you can fit in a 9×12 envelope can be quite a task! However, I was able to make it to this shower and, let me tell you, there were some cute ideas!! Twilight Delight Ghirardelli Chocolate was one of my favorites,… YUM!

I made a pack of stationary for the bride, which I will be posting about soon. Not that she wants to be writing thank you notes between 9pm and midnight,…I’m sure that’s one of the last things she wants to do, but hopefully she’ll enjoy using them!

A month or so back I completed a stationary order for a sweet, sweet girl across the country.

Nicole stumbled upon my website and emailed me with a request for baby stationary. Of course I said yes, not knowing that I would also find a new friend in it all.

You know how you meet some people and immediately know you’ll just click… this is how Nicole was. She was so sweet from the start, with such a kind demeanor.

Maybe it’s because we can relate,…both sharing in the fact that we run small businesses. Nicole is the owner of “Jewell Videos”; a business that produces “celebration videos”, which are “DVD-based video production[s] that presents a series of pictures and/or memorabilia set to music”. Definitely something you’ll want to check out, especially if you’re planning a wedding!!

Or maybe we clicked because we are both in the same stage of life. Me with my new baby, Ruby, and her expecting one so very soon!

There are many reasons why I enjoyed working with Nicole and, what I do know for a fact, is that I hope we continue to keep in touch…especially with her cute baby on the way (I’m sure we can share in the joys and adjustments of a precious, new baby)!

I’ve been keeping busy!  A handful of invitations, announcements, and stationary have been in the works AND completed within these past few months.

I haven’t been able to keep up with everything!

But during this next week, I plan to post more detailed pictures of each job.

A baby boy announcement.

“G” is for Graham, the son of my dear friend, Jen. Graham was born just a month and a half before our little Ruby.

We’ve already arranged their marriage, you know. Isn’t he such a handsome little man?

Jen requested cute little birds, branches, and the initial “G”. This is what I came up with.

I included the little birds on the back flap of the envelope, also. I just love putting in those extra little touches that normal envelopes wouldn’t have.

I fell in love with these,… the hand drawn trees and birds; just so cute. So much so, that I still haven’t been able to brainstorm anything nearly as cute for Ruby’s announcements. Simply adorable.

I have a ton of stored up pictures to post of invitation jobs I’ve completed, sewing projects I’ve accomplished, and food excursions J and I have ventured into. Now, just to find the time to post them all… life with a baby is definitely different, way less time, but did I tell you it’s FULLY worth it. So precious.

We just got back from my youngest brothers wedding on the East Coast. It was another beautiful wedding and the last of all 4 of my siblings. I can’t believe we’re all married now. How is the world did that happen? Time flies…

I’m planning to post some pictures of the celebratory events, but for now I wanted to get up a few pictures of the invitations that I designed for their day.

I like to think of them as simple, yet elegant. 

Hand drawn flowers and names with matching postage stamps that just so happened to go perfectly with the envelopes. How fun!

There. I said it. 

They’re simple, more clean and crisp, not as much baby-ish… and thats what I like about them.

Did I mention I’m doing our baby girls room in pink, black, and white? I promise to post some pictures soon because I have to confess, I’m also in love with her room. 

And, I like the little embellishment I made, with the carriage, also. 

And these are the matching thank you notes. If I’m this much in love with the invitations and stationary,…I can’t wait to meet our little baby girl! 

Less than 3 weeks, my friends!!!

Last week I designed, assembled, and sent out 50 Baby Shower invitations for a friend.

I have to say, I simply fell in love with them. 

They were the quintessential, pink baby shower invitations. They screamed GIRLY! 

My friend wanted the theme to be birds and to also seem delicate and ladylike.

After drawing a few different designs, this is what I came up with…and, I am pleased. It was a fun project!
